Brian Strange (a.k.a. Big B) started playing guitar and writing songs at the ripe old age of 26 after his sweet wife encouraged him to find another passion other than golf that would better suit raising a young family and the long hours of the family catering business (www.donstrange.com). So he purchased a guitar and Mel Bay lesson book and headed down a road that would prove far more rewarding, family friendly and just good clean fun.
Big B began playing and trying his new material every Wednesday at STEAK NITE (www.steaknite.com ) during the band breaks. He would bring his three young children Emily, Austin and Jake on stage with him so he could keep an eye on them. The crowd loved watching those little kids on stage with their daddy.
Fast forward 15 years of patience and practice, the Strange Brothers, Austin (12) is an awesome harmonica player and Jake (10) can rip on the mandolin have become an important ingredient to their dad’s sound. Emily has written some beautiful songs far beyond her 15 years and occasionally performs.
Currently you can catch Big B and the Strange Brothers every Wednesday night at STEAK NITE in Waring, Texas, or other venues far and near.
Big B just finished his first complete 10 song original project and should be out early summer. |
